About Us

Mission Statement

The Middleton Area Development Corporation (MADC) promotes economic development through business growth in Middleton by offering business loans to qualified companies.

Our History

MADC was formed in the late 1970s and was active until the mid-1980s. The organization was reincorporated in 2000 by Mayor Dan Ramsey and Vic Connors with their old Board. In 2003 under Mayor Doug Zwank’s leadership, a new agreement between the City of Middleton and MADC was formed.

MADC was capitalized by the sale of the former RotoZip property for $2,000,000. Over the years MADC has leveraged those funds in loans to the following businesses or owners of the real estate of those businesses:

  • Electronic Theater Controls, Inc.
  • Gala Biotech (now a Catalent Company)
  • SoftSwitching Technologies
  • Capital Brewery

MADC is now worth $3,500,000 and has $2,500,000 available to lend.

The Middleton Area Development Corporation (MADC) is a 501(c)(4) Not For Profit non-stock corporation created to provide economic assistance to businesses that positively impact economic development within the City of Middleton. This has included providing economic development funds to facilitate infrastructure improvements, and renovations necessary for the relocation, construction and/or expansion of businesses and industrial facilities.
